It seems these days that every metaphysically-minded person is saying we are in the Age of Aquarius. Well, putting aside the fact that many people believe Astrology is bunk, let’s examine the facts.
People declaring that the beginning of this Utopian Age was upon us goes back decades. Most notably, because of the “Summer of Love” many people said the Aquarian Age started in the 1960s. This was fueled by the hit musical play, Hair and its signature song, The Age of Aquarius.
Astrologers have been blowing the horns of warning for at least a decade if not more that 2020 would bring huge changes in nearly every aspect of life on earth.
The gathering powerhouse planets have and are coming together in great clashes and in bellicose banging, clanging, and roaring. A planetary maelstrom of powerful energies twisting and distorting the way things were into the way they will be.
You can see, and probably have already figured out, that traditional astrology is like an intricate, complex mandala. I’m not complaining, I love astrology and the hunt for just the right interpretation of the beautiful web of patterns that horoscopes create to tell a story. But what if there was a way to discover even more? There is; Uranian astrology, sometimes called the Hamburg School, Moveable Dial, and a few other names that are more obscure.
Pluto is still in Capricorn (isn’t it there for fricken’ EVER) and it is doing battle in the skies to remake the mess humans have made of the world. It all started in 2008 and will continue through 2030, even after Pluto moves out of Capricorn in 2024. One referee in this turbulent time is the minor planet, Eris.
Eris is a newcomer to the astrology family. Named for the female counterpart to Mars, she is the goddess of war. Only discovered in 2005 and beyond Pluto, her wild elliptical orbit takes 558 years to go around the sun.
